The state body for softball in Andhra Pradesh

Andhra Pradesh Softball Association (APSA) is the recognised state association for the sport of softball in Andhra Pradesh, affiliated to the Softball Association of India.

History

The Association was formed to organise and promote softball across the districts of Andhra Pradesh, to conduct state championships and to field the state’s teams at national competitions.

Objectives

  1. 1Promote, develop and regulate the game of softball in the state of Andhra Pradesh.
  2. 2Conduct the State Championships and other tournaments in the age and gender categories notified each season.
  3. 3Select, train and send Andhra Pradesh teams to national championships and events conducted by the national federation.
  4. 4Affiliate and support district softball associations and encourage the game in schools, colleges and clubs.
  5. 5Maintain a register of players, coaches, umpires and officials and issue certificates of participation and merit.
  6. 6Uphold fair play, athlete safety and the rules of the game as laid down by the national and international federations.

What the Association does

Registers players
Every softball player in the state registers once and receives a permanent APSA Player ID. Registration is verified by the player's district association.
Runs the State Championships
The AP State Softball Championship is conducted every season in Sub-Junior, Junior and Senior categories for boys, girls, men and women.
Publishes draws, schedules and results
Draws are locked before they are published. Schedules, innings line scores, standings and final placings are on this website as they are confirmed.
Selects the Andhra Pradesh squads
The selection committee picks state squads from State Championship performances for national championships and other events.
Issues certificates
Participation, medal and award certificates carry a unique number and a QR code that anyone can verify on this website.
Supports the district associations
Twenty-six affiliated district associations conduct district-level activity and enter teams in State Meets.
